Wilson Electronics Cellphone signal booster

by Jayvee on February 2nd, 2008

Tekzilla Features cellphone signal booster

Patrick Norton and Kevin Rose demoed Wilson Electronics’ signal booster for mobile phones in episode 2/2/08 of Tekzilla. The signal booster is a solution to zero bar cellphone signal reception inside concrete structures.

From the looks of it though, there doesn’t seem to be a wireless solution (if that’s even possible) as of late since you will need to physically connect the phone to the kit. However, you can always sidestep this by enabling Bluetooth connectivity from your phone to your BT headset.

Wouldn’t it be cool if someone could provide a bandwidth booster because the real problem with cell phones is dropped, missed and garbled phone calls. At least that is the case with T-Mobile.

Have you heard of zBoost? They have completely wireless units and they work great. I have the home/office unit in my living room and work throughout the house…it creates a signal cloud so there is no need for blue tooth (unless you want to use it). I’ve had mine for almost a year and not a complaint to date.

The company that sells them is http://www.Wi-Ex.com
