Views on the Dell’s Upcoming Smartphone
When Dell scrapped the Axim a few years back, it contributed to the end of the age of personal digital assistants. Being one of the most desired PDAs during that time the Axim was not only one of the cheapest devices around, but it could also accept CF memory into its expansion slot.
But alas, so ended the reign of the PDA as a dead end device. Sony left the PDA market a long time ago, Palm is barely struggling on their one hit wonder, and now the players are coming back to the market. Could this have anything to do with Apple’s virgin entry into the handheld market?
Dell’s re-entry into the smartphone market courtesy of Quanta spells a lot of good hope for a resurgence of the golden age of smartphones. I can’t wait.

Can someone give me an idea whether or not I should go for a smart phone or just use a more stylish phone and wait for some better technology? I am on the Sprint network, and was referred to http://www.sanyowireless.com , but I’m not seeing any options that look like smart phones. I don’t need an MP3 player or a camera, I’d rather have a phone that is lighter and easier to carry. Any recommendations would be welcome.
