Unveiled Next Week: Samsung Ultra Smart F700

Next week, Samsung will unveil the “ultra smart” F700 Smartphone in the 3GSM World Conference. Doesn’t the F700 spell iPhone to you? Well it really doesn’t in my humble opinion, as both phones were unveiled only weeks apart. I’m glad to see another promising smartphone rise up to the challenge of becoming a consumer’s choice.
Let me summarize some of the features:
- 440×220 resolution with 262k Color TFT screen
- 5MP camera
- HSDPA connectivity
- Pullout QWERTY thumb board
- 104 x 50 x 16.4mm
- VibeTonz Technology
What sets this phone apart from the rest is the new VibeTonz feature that gives users the experience of feeling buttons on the touchscreen as if they were hardware buttons.
… VibeTonz which allows user to actually feel the buttons on the touchscreen and pressing them produces slight vibrations for enhanced user friendliness. Furthermore the interface would feature drag-n-drop functionality which would enable users to control almost all of the features of the mobile without the need for stylus.

the f700 has become more and more tempting because of the pullout hardware keyboard. im still a non-believer in the full touchscreen model.

It’s interesting that you like the pullout keyboard, as I said in a post on my website about the F700, what’s the point of forking over all that money for a touch screen, if you don’t actually use it?

i still believe that hardware keys have a better tactile feedback than virtual touch screen buttons. and the thought of smudging your screen always .. i cannot bear! so i do like the touch screen, but as far as i want to use it as a “mouse” and type things on the pullout keyboard.

I will say I have both a touch pad and keyboard on my laptop, and while I prefer the keyboard, sometimes I do use the touch pad.
