If you are running Windows or Mac OS X, you can read the instructions here. And, if you’re running Linux, proceed here.

If Apple could go back in time and decide to not even deal with the hassle of having their iphone be exclusive to one network and be labeled by everybody as the evil empire would they? or is AT&T really giving them that much money? B/c if I were an Apple executive I would rather have my product on every network, make a hell of alot of money, and still have everyone loving you, instead they have a little higher profit margin and a whole big hassle. But I’m just a student with an iphone playing cat and mouse with Apple, so who cares =P

Apple played the wrong game here, they should’ve thought about the idea that not only americans were going to buy the iphone. the iphone its a big thing outside the states, and they should’ve thought about selling the iphone outside their country with no network providers. just sell it like a computer without limiting people to buy it . and youll see that at least 1 in 10 people wouldve had it in the big cities in the world. what better marketing strategy than this one. having the iphone spread out in the whole world wouldve made other people buy it and more money they wouldve received. instead the guys that are making the money here are the resellers.
What a bad Strategy apple has made!!

If apple creates a inovative product wihich enables worldwide use with free network selection it could go down in history. Apple however left the thrown empty. I think that a lot of companies are rubbing their hands with glee.
