Treo 1.14 ROM Beta Feedback
For all intents and purposes, I’m going to call the released “unreleased” ROM for the Treo as beta, because it was obviously leaked and is now the Internet’s worst kept secret.
Well, if you own a Treo 650 and feel adventurous, go ahead and download the full ROM here.
There is mixed feedback on the new ROM performance. I guess you can count out frequent restarts because it is still in beta, so give them that handicap. However, other users have found the new ROM to be very stable. Some noticed an increased in call volume (albeit with static in the background) while others noticed an increase in GPRS connection speed.
You can view this page as well as this to see a step by step on the ROM installation as well as more user feedback. The official release date for the new ROM version is supposedly targeted for early November, but knowing Palm, let’s give it till Christmas.
