Third Party iPhone Warranty Available (UPDATED)
UPDATE: Official iPhone warranty information is out:
- AppleCare for iPhone will be available “…in July”
- Your hardware coverage will be extended for up to 2 years
- Customers will be provided with a loaner iPhone if theirs is out for repairs (after a $29US “rental fee”)
The iPhone is not eligible for insurance under AT&T. Under the AppleCare Extended Warranty program, $70 will give you an extended year of warranty. Not a very generous deal considering that coverage does not include dropping hazards. There is another alternative to iPhone insurance courtesy of a SquareTrade CarePlan:
