Michael Fenger was formerly from Motorola. He joined Apple in March to be in charge of global iPhone sales.
Prior to joining Apple, Fenger was an executive for Motorola in that amorphous MBA-created part of the world known as EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). As such, he was in a position to know almost everything […]

Ever wonder how phones get their names? There are two schools of thought in product marketing. The first is to come up with simple “consumer names” for products such as “Tiger” or “Leopard” or “LG Shine” or “BlackBerry Pearl.” But beneath these names are product codes that all brand managers have to memorize. For huge […]

You know, I’ve been reviewing gadgets for the past 5 years - it may be considered a long time for some, but highly unlikely to reach veteran review status soon. The thing with reviewing devices is that one tends to get stuck in the game of tech specs where the premise of “mine is bigger […]

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Motorola release a music phone. The new ROKR E8 combines what we’ve seen with the LG Chocolate line and the iPhone - a smooth glass like surface to give off the sleek look. As you use the phone in music or phone mode, the UI lights up pertinent […]

It’s got the perky improvements from the V8 including external music keys, video calling via HSDPA: the primary camera is utilized for video calls by closing the clamshell and the external display turns into the video feed. This is really smart!
Additional features include memory […]

I’ve been playing around with the Motorola RAZR V8, more popularly known as the Motorola RAZR2 or “RAZR squared.” This unit has been the long overdue follow up to the RAZR series and Motorola deemed it fit to launch the phone in the third quarter of the year in Asia.

Hmmm … so which KRZR am I? There’s a flash based quiz that allows you to answer eight questions to help you decide what color your RAZR should be, if you do intend on buying one. The quiz is at most, amusing. It helps you determine your personality and therefore, your “preferred phone color” based […]

Motorola has filed patent for a chargerless mobile phone that gets its juice from the LED screen absorbing the sun’s rays.
Motorola believes it can get 75% or more of the light entering through the front of an LCD to the solar cell by using a different type of liquid crystal. By switching from nematic crystals […]
