Swiftpass Mobile Ticketing
With mobile phones turning into barcode scanners, one cannot help but admit that sooner or later, phones will be used as personal identification passes for events and functions.
Swiftpass is doing this (thanks Scott), allowing your mobile phone to act as a ticket aggregator. Ticketing companies merely need to scan the virtual ticket off a mobile phone’s screen in almost the same way that this technology works.
This is basically another example of how we are starting to digitize everything. With the “death of print” being predicted in the next 25 years (although i really do not believe this), there are several things that just make more sense to “go digital” merely because it is much easier to do. Like mobile ticketing. The odds of losing your mobile phone would be much less than fiddling for your ticket that fell from your pocket. And I right or am I right?
