As an aside, the “W” naming scheme is a bit of a throw off as one might think that this is a Sony Ericsson phone. Motorola has released a new line of entry level phones in the W230 and W270. No fancy bells here compared to the RAZR line. Both phones stress a relatively high memory expansion bundle of 2GB but cut down on other features. Essentially, both phones are entry level handhelds.

I could nt find the USB driver yet for Motorola W230
The user manual says to download it from the their website but nothings there

I found 2 USB driver from the website for Motorola W230
USB_Driver_32.zip
USB_Driver_64.zip
but after unzipping and downloading i could not locate my removable divice on my pc.
when i plug the usb code with my pc and cel it shows new hardware found
but could not succeed.
it says will not work properly

first unlock ur key pad then ull get a option connect to ur computer press yess then storage divice will start by itself

i could not transfer any songs to my memory card in the phone.but i have installed usb driver which in working( only charging)but not useful for storage purpose any help plz

After d’loading USB Charger Driver,
When cable connected and ‘no’ pressed (as indicated in manual) the found new hardware wizard does not appear. How can I charge my W 230 by USB Port ???

Unzip and Install the below file for charging through USB port.
http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/IN-EN/Support/Global%20Support/Common/Static%20Files/USB_Driver_3.4.6_patch_%20for%20HG.zip
For Transfering of files unzip the below file
http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/IN-EN/Support/Global%20Support/Common/Static%20Files/USB_Driver_3.4.6_patch_%20for%20HG.zip
and put it in to a folder under C:\, then connect the phone through USB card press “NO” when it asks. Then there will be a new hardware installation wizard. Select “Install from a list of specific location(Advanced)” option (Second option).
In the next screen select “Include this location in the search”. Browse the path where you have stored the extracted file.
Now your W230/W270 is ready.
After installing the software when you plugin the phone, select “NO” if you want to charge the phone. If you want to transfer files press “Yes”

I also have the same problem as all faced.
I have one more line to add that when I connect the Mobile to PC without installing software, when it ask for use it as storage , when we say no, at that time the battery is coming down, may be the power goes from battery to PC. If it is so it is not good for the mobile battery I feel.
I am surprised, why the motorola comapany is not coming with solid solution? ? I think this will make their product in the black list

i am down load the download ther drivers and used the pc . but still igot problem to conect the inter net to pc . (via) data cable . it shows erorr no 777 plz give solutin for me. there are three modem found usb , iDEN, wiere less i use usb modem still i got problem

hi everyone,
im melvin…i just bought a unit of motorola w230 from an authorized motorola dealer. at first i thought i had the best buy, but the moment i tried to download files from my computer…things gone wrong!!! they totally made a joke out of me. so from now i guess it will take me some time to trust motorola again…
not unless they’ve produce the usb driver for my phone…!!! if anyone can help me, pls help!!!

I purchased this phone from Global Access in Bangalore on Feb 25. I am repenting my decision every day. Do not buy if you have ever used a Nokia. The user interface on Motorola W230 YUVA is Disastrous to say the least. Many menu commands do not work. For example Recent Calls > select > view > store does not respond. There are many such commands which simply do not respond. When you enter a contact, it comes up with dictionary mode to enter name! Messaging is a tedious experience. To put a full stop it takes seven key strokes! Very unpredictable behavior. Music player is so-so. You cannot select a song and expect it to continue to play from there on. You need to press PLAY button every time a song gets over, manually select next and press PLAY! There is no missed call list. You have to look at the received call list and look for which ones are checked and which ones are not to figure out missed calls. Every day i am finding a new anomaly in this phone. Motorola needs to update its user interface, it is pre-historic user interface. Keys strokes respond very slowly. Takes ag
