Manny Pacquiao vs. Erik Morales
The entire country was united today in front of their domestic television sets as they witnessed the match between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Mexican legend Erik Morales. Pacquiao ended the match in the 1oth round with a TKO.
So what does this have to do with mobile phones? Well, our country’s first gentleman went up the ring with a phonecall from Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo with a congratulatory note. Now I never knew a microphone could pick up a voice coming from the speakerphone, as Pacquiao held the Nokia 9300 slightly below his mouth.
And just a thought — isn’t the 9300 targeted for female corporate buyers? Wonder why the first gentleman chose that unit. Back here, the 9500 communicator is more popular because it looks more manly.
