Jayvee meets Shai Coggins

by Jayvee on December 14th, 2005

So it’s nearing Christmas time and just like the very first one, people are coming back home to their place of origin. Mostly for vacation though, not some form of census.

Shai Coggins, our Queen of b5media went back to the Philippines to visit her family. So I rang her sister and we met up Monday night for a round of drinks (I paid of course, being the dashing gentleman that I am).

Since it was the first time I met her, I didn’t want to ask what gadgets she carries on her person. She does have a digicam, which she used after the Olympus SP-500 UZ I brought went out of focus for some reason. I was really shy and couldn’t ask her what brand it was. I actually could, but yeah I’m shy! I’ll ask her next time.

Quick survey here for those of you who own Olympus-brand point and shoot cameras … How do they fare in night shooting? I own a 310 Zoom and compared to the SP-500 I’m getting the same not-so-flattering results for night shots. Mini-tripod anyone?

There also was a Nokia 7650 propped on the coffee table, but I think it belonged to her younger sister, Sasha.

Huwaaat? You don’t know who Shai Coggins is? Look here.

I’ll give you a hint. It’s a Sony Cybershot. ;) The phone’s mine. She’s a gadget freak, too. Haha. Mobile phone, Mp3 player, PDA, Laptop.. you want me to go on..? Teehee.

    Wow. I’m a Queen, huh?

But yep - my sis is right on all counts there. It’s a Sony Cybershot (4.1 megapixels).

And yep - I’m really big gadget freak, even though I don’t necessarily have to have the latest and the designer stuff, I like having lots of gadgets to play with.

Mobile Phone - a basic Motorola (I’m a Nokia fan, though)
    MP3 Player - Creative MuVo
PDA - iPAQ PocketPC (I used to have a Palm)
Laptop - a Toshiba Satellite (love it)

I also have other stuff like an old web cam, a simple Wacom Tablet, Video Cam (Sony), a DVD recorder/player… Yeah, yeah… I can’t help but be a gadget girl. ;-)
