HTC Tornado
I had the chance to play with the HTC Tornado for about 60 seconds. Here are my impressions:
The Tornado (right) is a sturdy brick that feels very compact. It felt so good in the palm of my hand. The buttons were also carefully engineered to feel good when pressed, unlike the previous smartphone designs that actually felt painful to the thumb. Think E200 and you’ll know what I mean.
What’s noticeable about the Tornado is its very visible keys for playing multimedia. It’s so obvious that the other buttons were made smaller and placed right below the screen. In addition to this, the Tornado also has a dedicated browser button, which is a soft way of saying “I have integrated WiFi.”
I’m looking forward to another encounter with a Tornado. Hopefully I’ll be able to take some pics. So far so good to be honest. It’s the best hardware design I’ve seen for a smartphone.
