Abbreviate your SMS?

by Jayvee on June 15th, 2006

It’s hard to be an editor sometimes. Like whenever I send SMS to people, I always try to make sure I spell out my words correctly. So instead of saying “M goin ther nw” I’ll have to spell it out completely, word for word. The fact that I have T9 mode turned on makes things a bit easier.

In fact, I’d even choose to extend my messages to two or three sets since I’d have to go over the character limit when I don’t abbreviate. And this costs more right? Here in the Philippines, the cost of SMS is P1.00 (a dollar is about P51.00 … so heh!). In the long run, I’d be saving about a dollar by abbreviating everything I send.

Oh well. The things you give up for perfect spelling.
