3GSM World Congress: Search and Windows Mobile 6!
“We want to reduce the gap between what you can do on your PC and what you can do on your cell phone,” head of Microsoft France’s mobile division Nicolas Petit told Agence France-Presse.
And with that, Windows Mobile 6 is set to be unveiled this week. WM6 allows for remote access to your desktop files from your handheld device.
A second development is the talks of a joint Internet search engine which serves as a partnership between telco giants Vodafone, France Telecom, Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom, Hutchinson Whampoa, Telecom Italia and Cingular. Rather than use a mobile version of the standard search engines, they are in secret talks of developing their own search.
