3G not so hot

It might seem like I’m contradicting myself after posting this, but the recent 3G World Congress and Exhibit wasn’t as hot as people were expecting. Sure, people are willing to pay more bucks for cooler content but these are the few who actually get to jump across the financial pitfall of having enough cash to buy a 3G phone, while maintaining an acceptable way of life.

I mean to be quite honest, the best 3G there is now is .. err .. porn?

I love using my country as an example for the Philippines has always been a developing country with first world perks. We’re one of the first to acquire the latest phones which not everyone can afford, mind you. The Nokia N90 for instance costs roughly as much as a low end laptop, which is the gross salary of two months’ worth of pay of an above average office employee. Eek!
