10 Things About Phones You Should REALLY (?) consider

Saw this piece from CNET recently. It was a feature article on the 10 Things to look for when buying a new phone. As a purist, I’ve seen how phones have gone a long way from what they used to be. Heck, if you asked me, there should only be four things to consider when buying a phone: (1) it should be able to make calls clearly, (2) it should be able to send and store a lot of SMS, (3) it should have a decently long battery life, and (4) it should be durable.
Look at one of the “phone shopping requirements” for instance. Isn’t it a bit complicated already?
Microbrowser: This lets you surf the wireless Web. If your phone features a WAP (Wireless Access Protocol) browser, it’s optimized to view sites configured to display on small, mobile devices. Not all sites, however, are made for WAP browsing. Also, you can use some Internet-ready phones as a fax modem, but you’ll need to purchase the proper data cables to take advantage of this feature.
